FRANCAL'S NEW CAMPAIGN STIMULATES THE PASSION THAT BRAZILIAN FOOTWEAR AROUSES AROUND THE WORLD
|
Brazilian footwear as an object of desire - this is the premise that FRANCAL, through its house agency, has created for its new international advertising campaign. The ads show an ordinary woman's sandal in which the straps form a heart surrounded by the words "A WORLDWIDE PASSION" and show the signature "BRAZILIAN FOOTWEAR, THE BEST BUY".
The campaign is composed of printed advertisements in international and Brazilian magazines, folders and mailing lists to importers from hundred of countries and a hot site on the Internet.
"Our intention is to stimulate footwear buyers emotions and thus awaken their interest and enchantment with the Brazilian product. Seduction together with the business aspect of a product creates a product image with greater aggregated value," explains Abdala Jamil Abdala, president of FRANCAL. "Therefore we decided to associate the expressions "worldwide passion" and "best buy".
This year FRANCAL will take advantage of the GDS and MICAM to start an international campaign called "A WORLDWIDE PASSION - THE BEST BUY", both in stand decorations as well as in distribution of advertising material.
By increasing the value of Brazilian footwear, FRANCAL wants to arm it to compete not only in potential markets but also in niches that will pay more for a differentiated product with greater aggregated value.
This is one of the flags that the largest footwear and fashion accessory fair in Latin America raises to collaborate with Brazilian footwear exporters that have been harmed in recent years by an unfavorable dollar foreign exchange rate in relation to Brazilian currency and due to international competition, particularly in China and India.
Another flag is its constant participation in the largest worldwide event in the footwear sector - the GDS in Germany and the MICAM in Italy - both in March that divulges Brazilian footwear directly to thousands of international buyers and expands relations with this market. Therefore, FRANCAL seeks to expand its international visitation and augment potential export opportunities for exhibitors.
FRANCAL is held annually in July and presents collections from Brazilian manufacturers for Spring/Summer, considered to be the best season for sales in the sector. Footwear and accessories during the warmer seasons have more creative freedom, more glamour, greater seduction and diversity, attributes that are in line with the new campaign's proposal of increasing value.
The fair, installed in a complex covering 70,000 m2, this year will unite more than 1,000 (one hundred thousand) exhibitors in 46,000 m2 of assembled stands. More than 60,000 (sixty thousand) professionals from the sector are expected to attend as well as thousands of importers from around the world.
