BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA BECOMES THE OFFICIAL STAGE FOR THE MARKET OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS IN BRAZIL
AT ITS 12TH EDITION, TRADE FAIR REINFORCES ITS POSITION AS THE MAJOR MEETING FOR BUSINESS AND ORGANIC CHAIN RELATIONSHIP IN BRAZIL. IN 2016, THE EVENT TAKES PLACE ON JUNE 8 AND 11 IN THE BIENAL PAVILION OF IBIRAPUERA PARK, IN SÃO PAULO.
The growing interest by the Brazilians in the consumption of healthier products has reflected in the figures of the organic product sector in the Country, with an average growth of 30% to 40% annually and sales reaching almost 2.6 billion reais in 2015, according to data issued by IPD – Instituto de Promoção do Desenvolvimento. The developing market also implies more products being offered, which currently consist of many other categories, such as natural and processed foods, garments, jewelry, cosmetics, cleaning and pet products, among others.
Most of such evolution can be noticed in the trends and new products showcased during the BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA – International Trade Fair of Organic Products and Agroecology, which is the main business platform representing the organic product sector in Latin America. At every edition, the trade fair increases in size, being visited by consumers that every time demand more and more quality options and a market seeking to have a position and maximize new projects that consolidate such growth trend.
Among the initiatives contributing to foster the business of the sector, the trade fair held, in partnership with the Brazilian Service of Support to Micro Businesses – Sebrae, the Round of Negotiations with businessmen, buyers, manufacturers, and retailers from several states of the Country in order to make new agreements feasible. The 2015 edition gathered 256 meetings, only during two days, being a meeting place for 20 buyers and 91 sellers. The conversations generated 147,500.00 reais in business made during the event and 1,022,500.00 reais in future expectation.
New possibilities are also explored at an international level inside the event with foreign companies getting closer to the Brazilian market and the relationship among entities and authorities from the organic world with the major references of the domestic industry.
BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA also seeks to constitute new generations of consumers and obtain loyalty from the ones already existing by reserving the last two days for the public in general, so that they know beforehand the offer of products and services exhibited, as well as the opportunity to enjoy and buy some of the latest news.
The 12th edition of the trade fair takes place on June 8 and 11, 2016 in the Bienal Pavilion of Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo, and hosts retailers (shops, supermarkets, drugstores, bakeries), wholesalers, distributors, hotels, hospitals, clinics, and spas, organic producers, agronomists, healthcare professionals, among others, to check beforehand the latest news in products and services brought by the market.
There are hundreds of news divided into four categories of products: Biofoods (meats; juices and beverage; milk, dairy products, and eggs; fruits and vegetables; bread, pasta, cakes, and cookies; honey and derivatives; chocolate; coffee; organic and natural foods and general frozen products), Biocosmetics (fragrances and essential oils, creams, shampoos, soups, tonics, and raw-materials), Biofashion (biojewelry, clothing manufacture, fabrics, and accessories), and Bioproduction (suppliers and fertilizers, equipment and machines, certifying and consultancy services, editorship, and packages).
The organizers expect that the 12th edition of the BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA surpasses the 18 thousand national and international visitors of the 2015 edition, among professionals of the sector and the public in general.
